ABOUT US
Parttime Junkies originated somewhere in the beginning of 2000 by a group of friends in the province of Friesland. We didn’t always have the time, money or means to party as a group in the mid-west of The Netherlands and we thought ‘we can do the same stuff up here’.
So we did, smaller, cozy and as a group of friends we started organising. Friends and good music, which is still our motto and what we want to expose. The first parties with dresscode and theme decorations still remain in the visitors thoughts after all these years. After a successful couple of years, friends moved on with their life’s and so did I.
I continued using the name parttime junkies when I started doing livestreams from my home studio. Every two weeks on a Sunday afternoon I invited guest DJ’s to do a live mix set. Around 2011 I re-united with Von Funk who shared the same interests as I did. He started live streaming through the internet around 2004
The first parties we did together are the legendary ‘Love Boat’ editions on the Waddenzee and the Frisian lakes. Together we continued the livestream sessions and upgraded our gear.
Two years ago we moved on from my studio to larger locations in and around the city of Leeuwarden (Social club Suver Nuver and Asgaard). We offer fresh talented DJ’s from Friesland and other parts of The Netherlands to do a creative and musical live set. With the help of volunteers and mainly with our Love for Music
We keep on creating this ‘together we are one, love & happiness vibe’ at our events.

Jaydee has been a friend of the RLGC since long time. He is famous in the Netherlands as of the rest of Europe. In the 1980’s he was the first radio DJ ever to have a show only dedicated to house music. He is a Dutch legend and we’re always humbled to host his nights @ RLGC. For this LiveStream he invited his friends from Friesland, a province high up the Netherlands. And boy were we glad he did that. Listen for your selves and party along with us.
